This series stems from a childhood memory of mine of wanting to be an astronaut when I grew up. I had a astronaut costume, not as cool as Spaceboy’s, but cool enough that when I put it on, I actually became an astronaut who could pilot spaceships, travel to different planets and discover aliens.

Spaceboy is a series that tells a similar story. Spaceboy builds a spacecraft out of cardboard and other household items, travels to a strange planet and finds a snail-like alien that he takes home. The story-line, art direction, design and animation was inspired by my some of my favorite cartoons/comics growing up like Calvin and Hobbes and Wallace and Gromit.
